ABOUT THESE GUIDES
Practical instructions, clear limits.
Who writes them?
The guides are published by Pull25, the app for tracking assisted and weighted pull-up workouts, created by Javier Colayco. They are product education, not a claim of coaching or medical credentials.
How are they made?
These guides were drafted with AI assistance, checked against the app’s current progression code, and informed by linked primary sources. They have not been independently reviewed by a certified trainer or clinician.
What do the sources support?
The references support general principles such as consistent resistance training, individualization, and controlled movement. They do not validate Pull25’s particular algorithm or guarantee a first pull-up by a certain date.
How do we assess research?
Our evidence library is a curated selection, not a systematic review. We distinguish direct assistance studies, related pulling research, and general resistance-training guidance. Every study summary identifies the design, population, measured outcome, and limits, including when only an abstract was accessible.
We report the numerical result with its context. An immediate repetition increase is not a measured long-term strength gain; EMG is not a direct measure of muscle growth. Practical equipment comparisons and coaching suggestions are labeled as interpretations.
Independent review and original data
No independent expert review or Pull25 training-outcome study has been completed for these pages. We will identify a reviewer and the reviewed material only after that work happens. We do not use guide-visit statistics as evidence of training effectiveness.
What should you expect?
Examples are illustrations, not individual prescriptions. Use your equipment’s instructions and seek qualified help for technique, pain, or exercise restrictions. We update guides when their substance or the product behavior changes.
